Xfce4 power Manager autostart

Hello Folks,

I’m trying to figure out how to get “Xfce power manager” to start automatically at system start in the background (Openbox). When i click the battery-Icon in Polybar, a popup is telling me: Power Manager is not running, do you want to Start it? Instead of running the power manager directly.

I’m a newbe and would be very thankful for your help !!

Hey there

I think it’s xfce4-power-manager that must be in autostart. If i remember right, there’s a tool in Openbox for autostart, go through the desktop menus.

xfce4-power-manager should be autostarted, are you using openbox-session or plain openbox?

Can we see the output of

/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/openbox-xdg-autostart --list
