I just picked it up yesterday for PS5, I’ll wait until my boys have played it before I get stuck into it.

@Pinhead I finished TK last night. It’s pretty good. Nearly quit after the ep before the last but it got good again.

Another really good movie I watched is “Harder they Fall” on Netflix. Pretty cool Black Cowboy Outlaw western. Kind of got a Django vibe.

And of course your feedback on the latest episode is highly appreciated. Another rollercoaster again. Next week already the seasonfinale :pensive:

Oh what! Only 8 episodes!

I found it a weird episode, a lot happened, but not a lot happened at the same time. I found the villain this week rather creepy. The “venison” meat made me a little queasy.

I found this a rather good write-up. The Last of Us recap episode eight – TV just got a whole lot more abhorrent | Television | The Guardian
Nevertheless it ‘contains’ more than I saw at first. I was more surprised by the extremer violence of Joel and of Ellie (although it was clear she was under way more stress and anticipation to what was about to happen to her). This happens to us humans when under extreme pressure? Hannah Ahrendt would oblige. The whole cannibalism-crazy preacher guru stuff came a bit unexpected. If there is one thing: although the quest is a genuine kind of story I find the separate episodes a bit disjointed and losing steam (especially after Kansas city). Still good, but less cohesion. And like this the series can continue for another 10 years :smirk:

Joel’s violence has been under the surface, you see flashes of it, We saw it unleashed in the first episode when he beat that cop to death and then again this week’s episode. The thing is, he uses it only when he needs to.

That’s what I was feeling this week, I threw my hands in the air after Monday’s episode, I felt a little frustrated that the story is stopping like that. It’s like each episode is a level of the game.

What did you think about the finale? A finale it was, wow! A rollercoaster. Absolutely looking forward to S02 already.
