Steam is missing fonts

Hello everyone :slight_smile: noob here,

i installed archlabs with gnome on this laptop last night

i just installed steam through the multilib packages through pacman

and it doesn’t seem to have the complete fonts some of them are missing and are just squiggly characters.

this might be related to why I am experiencing somewhat the same problem with some foreign characters on youtube. (but im not sure)

is there a fonts package that i should be installing? I tried installing the steam-fonts package but it came up with an error

The GUI heavily uses the Arial font. See Microsoft fonts. An alternative is to use ttf-liberation or fonts provided by Steam instead.

LOL, I use Steam once half a year, but still keep it installed. :rofl:
