Should the samba.conf file be automagically created when installing the samba software?

I’ve installed & enabled samba(systemctl status is “loaded” but not running). After a reboot, I don’t see a samba.conf file located in /etc/samba.

I’m over on the Arch wiki … will keep searching.

Default smb.conf

I think it gets installed to /use/share/samba now and you have to copy it over to /etc/samba

Sweet PackRat - thanks alot for linking the default smb.conf. The NAS mounts perfectly after a reboot.

However, I didn’t see it anywhere in /user/share/samba. :thinking:
