Yeah - I read this also. Sounds promising if they can deliver. I wish I could try this out. Unfortunately, I don’t have the time but would love to look at this when they are able to use clonezilla images.

Hi,

I didn’t tried it yet, I might give it a shot, why not.

The good news is the original project which Recuezilla is based on has been reborn after 7 years! and is available in beta version for now.
The bad news is yet Redorescue doesn’t support uefi which would be really disappointing for a come back in the modern world, hopefully I am completely wrong about this.
I’ve used this tool few times years ago when it was released in its early days I think, it was good from what I remember, then I switched to something else but not because of its quality more because I was trying new stuff.

This kind of projects don’t get the support they should have IMO (hello Cannonical,RedHat,Opensuse,Gnome,Kde).
Those tools, as Timeshift, are a must have for newbies (but not only) because they are easy to use and understand, it always amazed me that “big groups” don’t get involved into this that much, expect for Dejadup which I am not a fan of.
I bet incomers would enjoy Rescuzilla or Redorescue, especially those who get afraid really quickly by command lines, or are not comfortable enough to use them safely.
Anyway I wish the best to the maintainers, be strong, have fun and good luck.
