Realtek R8169 drivers

Hey there!!!
I’m curious, at what point are the above drivers introduced?
What I mean is, I assume they are somehow included into the ISO. After the install, I don’t see what package is being pulled for later updating etc. For example (and I know I’m not making myself clear) when using pamac-aur for graphical searching, I’m not seeing that driver being listed as installed.

So I’m curious how it gets in to the original install.

chris@neptune ~]$ locate r8169
/usr/lib/modules/5.4.41-1-lts/build/include/config/r8169.h
/usr/lib/modules/5.4.41-1-lts/kernel/drivers/net/ethernet/realtek/r8169.ko.xz
/usr/lib/modules/5.6.13-zen1-1-zen/kernel/drivers/net/ethernet/realtek/r8169.ko.xz

It’s likely in linux-firmware

Edit: :man_facepalming:

The drivers are in the kernel.

Note that drivers != firmware.
