The mother of Edson Arantes Do Nacimento (Pele) is 100 years old and sadly has to say goodbye to her 82-year-old son.
The story goes that the nickname Pele comes from the word pelele, which would come to mean a kind of insult, to be a wimp, someone who would never achieve anything in life, as they say it is the nickname his mother would have given him when she saw him all day with the ball playing football.
Gone is one of the kings of world football.
Rest in Peace King Pele.
