It’s healthy to question the Linux community. For example, there are distinct code of conduct differences between Gnome and KDE foundations. Why?

I’ve scanned the study summary. Appears they were forthright & detailed with their processes. Personally, I didn’t notice any red flags, but that certainly doesn’t conclude that there wasn’t more to the story than meets the eye.

From the kernel maintainer’s perspective, I’m not sure there’s merit toward a legal investigation. Perhaps, it’s a great time for them to review their own processes and make any changes that would be warranted.

Linux Foundation over-reacted a little bit.

It’s a shame they let some of those bogus “patches” passed and got merged into the kernel tree.
