Is it possible to create two separate luks encrypted partition, one for root, one for home?

Without using LVM, is it possible to create two separate luks encrypted partition, one for root, one for home within the ArchLabs installer? Furthermore if I am going to have the same password for both the root and home partitions, is it possible to get luks to decrypt both partitions after entering the password?

#1: Yes, you can create and select multiple from within the installer with hopefully no issues.

#2: I don’t know, that’s beyond the scope of the installer. You’d likely need to setup some keyfile for the home one so it’s opened automatically once the first is, perhaps someone more knowledgeable with LUKS will chime in.

Hi Nate,

If I do decide to use LVM instead, and I chose to install another *nix operating system, is it still possible to mount the /home partition that is inside the LVM partition, especially if it used the calamares installer?
