Is AUR down?

Is it just me or is AUR unavailable for you, too?

Right, I’ve just found the announcement.

Down again…

AUR Down?

Hopefully for maintenance again only.

I think things are back to normal, looks like they blocked Pamac based on this.

Looks like pamac is indeed blocked.

I’m a yay user but do use pamac for researching packages, saves a lot of time.
However, I should get back to installing the aur packages from source.

pamac broke more packages than installed them back when I used it, but that was also when I used Manjaro years ago, so there is that.

Still it’s good for browsing dependencies (and nothing else).

Also use it to browse the upcoming updates before I actually type pacman …

Default configuration allows pamac to check updates every 6 hours. That should not cause jam on the server side. Put the software glitch aside, some people do configure the software to check in a crazy frequency. That’s insane.

My custom script in the panel checks every 30 minutes. It was quite difficult to make it not to check on panel restart if the time not yet passed.
