LOL, it’s a bit scary to me. I use it when I have no other choice. For a simple ISO → USB I have SUSE imagewriter.

Love dd but when someone ask me about dd, I usually say “You mean Data Destroyer” ?

I used dd other day to reinstall AL as 99% of time.
sudo dd if= archlabs-2022.10.15-x86_64.iso of=/dev/sdd status=progress
