Can you install from the live image? I’m just downloading now.
The desktop version already contains additional programs needed in a typical desktop installation. You have less initial compiling, at the cost of a larger download. The installation CD can be used to boot and, well, install Gentoo.
That is a comment on their side.

@Dobbie03 im pretty sure it’s just a live environment with a gui. Your gentoo install will still be same ole same ole from source and painful.
Yeah there was no install option. I don’t have the patience nor the brain capacity and focus to read, absorb and follow out the instructions from the Gentoo handbook.
I guess Gentoo would be a solid option if you were to use it on an embedded sort of device, purposed for specific packages and environment. To have it as a “daily driver” IMO would be a PITA.
