Fzf missing on new ArchLabs install

Took me ages to work out but after holding down Ctrl + R in my terminal i saw an error popup about fzf missing. Was driving me crazy not being able to search my history.

Might be a good idea to install fzf by default since its used by the zsh config

Good call. Will have to add it to the list.

That was my mistake, those shell configs won’t be included anymore. Nothing can be done about the existing iso sadly.

I recently noticed this too. I just used the Debian unstable bash dotfiles with the addition of bash-completion installed and termcap stuff added to bashrc to make man pages look good.

This solution might be a lot more simple and better for the future ISO’s.

(Of course you could change the PS1 stuff too to make it match up with the .zsh prompt as well)

Just trying to give some ideas.

Edit: if y’all stick with the fzf rig I’d recommend changing the .bash_profile autologin script to:

if [[ ! $DISPLAY && $XDG_VTNR -eq 1 ]]; then
  exec startx

The current version throws an error which shows the little red “1” everytime a terminal is fired up.
