FF has become irrelevant. Sad but true.

Chrome 64.8%
Safari 19.5%
Edge 4.63%

Well, it’s irrelevant depending on who you look at it, a monthly statistic is not the whole story of a browser, in my humble opinion.

That’s the market share data updated in March, 2023, not the data solely in March, 2023. FF has been losing its market shares to other browsers, mainly Chrome. You can find similar data on various stats web sites. For example,

Once FF starts to collect users’ data, it has lost its user base. Google Chrome/Chromium is doing the same, but provides a much faster & more secure web browser. It’s understandable to see users to jump on the bandwagon.

I reiterate, it depends on how you look at it, they are just statistics.
I used Chrome and Chromium for years, today I feel more comfortable with Firefox, although both browsers consume too much ram.

It’s good and I see that you have researched on the subject of browsers, it is possible that Chrome is the most chosen, we will see in the future if that changes or not, then there will be interests behind the clicks that each one produces ?

It seems to me that it is only a matter of interests and what one or the other believes …

In the end they are all the same, they recompile data on absolutely everything and it seems to be the rule…

Tried Chromium/Chrome, & I can t seem to like it , but I must say that I m too used to FF in order to change browser, & it s not because that I haven t tried.

Edit; I picked my poison to say the least ! lol & to each its own I guess also.

FF is going nowhere. It has nothing to do with believes or comfort levels. The market will pick. I hate Google products, but I have to admit they do have advantages in many tech areas.

LOL, you’re entitled to do whatever you like.

Lol, hope that FF would get its head off its ass & do something worthwhile, but I doubt it ! lol

@chroot

They are different points of view and we are not the ones who are going to decide what people use or don’t use on their machines.

I just posted something from a browser, that’s all.

That’s as far as I’ve got with this topic, it doesn’t go any further and it doesn’t matter whether one is right or wrong.

Don’t take it the wrong way or as an assault on you, chroot was just pointing out that despite what any community states to care about, in the end chrome is winning simply due to its better support.

Great to have these discussions. Let the opinions flow, everyone has one.

In my opinion, the open-source browser topic has to be scrutinized. Mozilla made a conscious decision to roll with the social agenda and has rightfully earned that scrutiny, for better or worse.

I look forward to more options in open source browsing down the road!
