February 2018 Screenshot Thread

February is here and with it comes a new screenshot thread. The new forum seems to be well received.
There is a new rule starting from this month onwards so please take the time to read all of this post.

As usual:

Use an image host such as scrot.moe or Imgur to host your screenshots.

Share your dots and walls please, this saves people having to ask. Best way to do this is to have a link in your signature.

Pro Tip: If you use the Linked Markdown then you will have a direct link to your screenshot

We recommend http://scrot.moe for image uploads, or as an option drag and drop your image into the reply box. Thank you very much, Mr. Neilypops!

Nothing new from me.

In this scrot I am using st for my terminal, Audacious for my sounds.

really getting use to using nate’s fork of st.

i3status for the system information.

And I got polybar the way I want it:

wallpaper - from a link matt sent me; this one maybe: wallhaven
configs - PackRat nest on github

I could never get album art on ncmpcpp to work. I’m quite happy with Covergloobus though. Btw, the high cpu usage was intentional, playing 4k videos on Firefox to show the cpu bar colors

ncmpcpp config is by Fikri Omar https://github.com/fikriomar16
termite color scheme: base16-gruvbox-dark-pale
wallpaper: https://alpha.wallhaven.cc/wallpaper/621607

@PackRat and @m00n, nice scrots. Don’t forget to share your configs.

I probably should have tweaked the jgmenu colors. Is it possible to have it automatically pick up the polybar color?

Nice DP!! Don’t forget to share your dots

I don’t think that is possible, @malm maight be able to help here.

Literally nothing new except a new wallpaper, oh and a new Rofi theme.

Dots from the usual spot.

jgmenu does not currently read polybar config files.

It should be fairly straight forward to add support for if there is user demand.

Would be a cool option but as jgmenu is pretty easy to configure, is it really required?

If it’s ideal to have jgmenu’s color always match the panel’s color for consistency, right now it isn’t.
With the polybar theme selector available to easiy change the panel theme to fit a background, it also would be such a convenience to have jgmenu inherit the panel theme color. Otherwise it’s several steps to modify the jgmenu color, and it’s different sets of colors for light and dark panel.
