Did you try partitioning with fdisk or cfdisk from the command line?

kernel 5.8.9 came through for Void today; kernel upgrades for Void and Arch are usually occur within a couple days of each other either way, so your fix should be coming through soon.

I did. It seems its an issue with 5.8.8.

Hopefully by the time my new PC arrives 5.8.9 will be available.

I use gnome-disks, and all is fine for me.
