PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS NO DWMX 2019 ISO AT THIS TIME…THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE.
THIS THREAD IS JUST A DWMX 2019 CONCEPT…
YOUR INPUT IS MOST WELCOME AND APPRECIATED

Here are some of my old dwmX ISOs;

#6

@mrneilypops, lol, Looks great !

#7

@mrneilypops looks damn nifty my friend :sunglasses:

#8

@altman
Thanks…so far so good…
I am deliberately trying to use default dwm colours.
I was lucky to find the icon/gtk sets that I think match quite well…
Not sure about st terminal…might need further research re: colours and fonts…
urxvtc is lookin’ pretty good…in my opinion…thus far…
I have surf browser on board at the moment but struggling with streaming/youtube etc…

I think the greatest find has been the Hack fonts :star_struck:

#9

@mrneilypops , that s cool ! Wonder if Sakura would fit well on your iso install. Appart from color tweakings I guess

#10

@Glenn
Thank you…a project for 2019 in development…:wink:

#11

@altman
Noted!

#12

@mrneilypops , no problem, like Sakura pretty much , one can copy&paste, too used to it I guess.

#13

Good deal man. I’ve tried tilers --dwm, awesome, really wanted to get along with i3 but ultimately came to the conclusion, I’mmmmm just not smart enough :joy:

#14

@Glenn , happy to see that I m not alone ! lol

#15

@Glenn
I don’t think it is about being smart.
I am sure you are smart but tilers seem to apeal to a ‘micro niche’ of people…in my opinion.

What I love about dwm is the ‘d’ dynamic…I love moving/resizing the windows so rapidly…yes in ‘floating mode’…some will hate me for that but whatever…

I still love openbox on ArchLabs :star_struck:

#16

Thanks for that vote of confidence @mrneilypops, appreciate that.

For me, it was really not getting the hang of a keyboard driven workflow. I’d have a research document on one display, the report I was working upon on the next and I just couldn’t retrain my cerebellum to not need a mouse.

I tried and actually enjoyed using i3 on a laptop at home but occupationally, it didn’t work for me. Really do love looking at tiler scrots though and what you’ve got planned is massive cool.

#17

Great work. I love your style. Cool blend of software, font, etc.

#18

@mrneilypops, I love your distrolets. Can’t wait for this one.

#19

Wow, that’s cool, downloading 1… 2… 3… :joy:

Congratulations! @mrneilypops

Also, don t forget the nonfree firmware. As Debian as none from the dvd download for the next release ! If available already, forget it…
