Dont shout, NVIDIA help

Hi all

I recently installed ( once again ) Archlabs

I am running Xorg, and i3,
I did try to follow the instructions on NVIDIA_Optimus but I cant get things working

My objective is

  • Have a way to offload applications to GPU
  • Have a way to switch off GPU on demand to preserve battery ( maybe without reboot ?? )

If anyone has managed that please HELP :)
I am using a Dell XPS 7590, I know it can be done ( PopOS is working like a treat on this laptop )

Thank you in advance people.

Optimus manager works for me.

@womp What laptop ?? same ?

May I ask if you have any tips on getting it working or the link you followed?

Asus Rog gl753. (nvidia gtx 1050)

This laptop is maybe too old to be compared but I remembered that I installed optimus-manager from git-hub with very good instructions.
I have had only minor problems and the install is soon reaching 2 years.
