Dobbie won't be around for a few days - Now returned

So I fucked my PC. Don’t ask me how I don’t want to talk about it. As a result I am sulking in my bedroom until my new desktop arrives, hopefully Thursday.

On the upside I have a number of DDR4 sticks of RAM and a couple of GPU’s for sale as well as a couple Intel CPU’s of below average quality.

I ordered a Lenovo Workstation, I didn’t want to go hard out on a replacement so I got a second hand E31 which seems to have decent specs as well as a 3TB HDD which will take my total storage well over 12TB’s.
It also has enough bays for all my externals to be converted to internals. Excellent.

LOL, a laptop under warranty has its advantages: you can’t DIY.

I lost a number of drives but the PC was okay. This time its the Motherboard. I’ll probably get a new motherboard sometime in the future and set it up as a media PC.

That sux, what s the mobo, too bad, always something right.

I’d buy but shipping the gold there and the product here = :scream:

So would that make you;
Dobbie, the internal external guy or
Dobbie, the external internal guy?

that’s a bad news.
I hope you will retrieve all data without problem.
Yesterday, it was my son at school : his latptop has been stolen. I think the bad guy will have some interrogation with a qwerty keyboard and french configuration for system.
I need urgency to buy a new latop or desktop, i don’t know for sutdy. He take course @ distance to Canada.

Let’s say both.

That’s all safe and sound.

OK, both, I like that.
And glad to hear all data safe and sound.
That’s always a huge relief.

You got that right.

I’m back with a new PC and a fresh install of AL!

Happy to be back, the last 2-3 days on Windows 10 has been very hard on my mental state

Welcome to the party!

What a party it is.

It’s really nice to see the cpu usage somewhere between 0 and 4%

Which Ryzen exactly?

Ryzen 5 3600.

BTW: do you see the fan speed?

No I don’t. Seems quiet so far. I shall check it out.

On my machine it’s always 65535 RPM.

This is what sensors brings me:

Adapter: PCI adapter
vddgfx: 1000.00 mV
fan1: 1347 RPM (min = 0 RPM, max = 3500 RPM)
edge: +37.0°C (crit = +94.0°C, hyst = -273.1°C)
power1: 46.10 W (cap = 120.00 W)

Adapter: ACPI interface
temp1: +16.8°C (crit = +20.8°C)

Adapter: PCI adapter
Tdie: +37.5°C (high = +70.0°C)
Tctl: +37.5°C

It makes me slightly jealous. Possibly it’s motherboard, not CPU-related.
