I love it! Simple and clean. As I wanted to add weather, this is how I call it:

Using aura in a terminal other than urxvt (guake, xterm) drops me an error:
xprop: error: Invalid window id format: WM_CLASS.
Any ideas?

Edit: solved by uncommenting
term=$(ps -o comm= -p "$(($(ps -o ppid= -p "$(($(ps -o sid= -p "$$")))")))")
and commenting
# term=$(xprop -id $WINDOWID WM_CLASS | cut -d" " -f 4 | cut -d "\"" -f 2)
Every terminal I tried is showed correctly without the error message.
