I had played with Nix for a short period of time. It has some nice features but overall it’s an overkill for desktop/laptop users. C’mon, how difficult is it to downgrade a package in Arch?
Yeah I am doing all this stuff on a laptop, and I don’t do all my work in a laptop. I like to do work on a workstation. With a big ass display in front of me. I need to do work that will eventually lead to income, and that usually means MacOS in my line of work. Linux helps me with MacOS, because of the terminal.
Qtile again on (old) Dell-Latitude.
Been fiddlin with the bar-modules. Does anyone know how create arrows? I would like to try that!
Oh, nice @womp
@womp -the qtile home page has some user contributed configs that may show how to add arrows etc … Be careful though, qtile is one of those window managers where you can’t just drop in a config and expect it to work since your python environment may be different.
Great to see some love for
dk at /r/unixporn
That’s awesome wonder how yambar stacks up.
I hadn’t heard of Yambar until then. I need to get my
dk install working so I can check this out.
Been spending a couple of hours going through “qtile-config-examples” and there was nothing with “unicode-arrows”. Found other things though!
Been searching alot for this kind of decor but for qtile I can´t find anything. Maybe itś not “in” in the qtile community? In for example i3 it´s rather frequent (but also easy to do with theming).
Qtile is also the most lightweight I have tried so far. (180-200 mb after boot).
That looks really good!!
Thx, appreciated @womp
Nice shot in there @PackRat .
Hate it sometimes when having issues of some sorts after updated.
I’m ready for r/unixporn – they won’t be as I’m lacking anime porn and other prerequisites. Oh well…
