1. No spam.
All automated messages, advertisements, and links to competitor websites will be deleted immediately and posting such content will result in your immediate and permanent banning.

2. Post in the relevant category only.
Please ensure you post your threads in the correct/related category. Threads posted in the wrong topic area will either be removed or placed in the correct sub-forum by moderators. Consistent abuse of this will result in a warning, the reason for this request is too keep the forum clean, minimises confusion and keeps the forum easy to use.

2a. Please search before posting.
Quite possibly the issue you are experiencing has already been posted and there more than likely will be a solution. Please search the forum before posting your question. This keeps the forum tidy and reduces useless double posts as well as keeping the search function clean.

2b. Please use appropriate post titles.
Choosing an accurate, descriptive and appropriate post title will attract solutions effectively and help other users, when utilizing the forum search feature, to find a solution.
Good Post Titles: “recent problems with ata1 - exception Emask 0x10”, “/dev/snd/* permissions problem”
Bad Post Titles: “Help!!!”, “Noob question!”, “Almost there”

2c. Mark your post as solved.
Once your issue is solved, use the solution tick-box shown below, this indicates to other users that there is a solution to be had.

3. Respect other users.
No flaming, trolling or abusing fellow forum members. Users who post inflammatory, abusive comments will be deleted with a warning issued. Continued behaviour of this type will see your account deleted without further warning.

4. Harassment.
No threats or harassment of other users will be tolerated. Any instance of threatening or harassing behaviour is grounds for deletion from the forums.

5. Adult content.
No pornography is allowed. Posts containing adult material will be deleted.

5a. Language.
We aren’t not overly bothered with swearing, but try to avoid swearing when you can.

6. Bandwidth.
All images must be ‘unobtrusive’. Please upload images to image hosts (Imgur or scrot.moe). This forum has the ability to drag and drop to upload your image, though we would prefer the use of Imgur or scrot.moe.
This will take the load off the server as far as storage is concerned.

7. Illegal content.
No re-posting of copyrighted materials or other illegal content is allowed. Any posts containing illegal content or copyrighted materials will be deleted and result in your immediate banning.

8. Politics and Religion.
This forum will not tolerate any discussion concerning political and religious beliefs, we are here to discus ArchLabs and Linux in General.

9. Please respect the Moderators and Administrators.
We understand respect is earned so if we are acting like a dick, let us know via a private message. We are a reasonable bunch of dudes/dudettes.
If we delete/remove a post/thread you think was unfairly removed, again send us a private message to discuss.
All the Forum Staff volunteer here and have lives outside Linux/Internet, so if you don’t get a reply immediately, please be patient. We will reply.

10. Other Distro discussion.
We welcome discussion relating to other distributions but please keep it to the “Other Distributions/OS” forum.

11. Most of all, enjoy your time here.
We are a light hearted bunch and we want it to stay that way.
