I would trade more mileage for hp, 300 hp would be enough for an EV on my end.

My first car. Can you tell I am from Essex?

I did it up from a dull grey one as a 17 year old working in my dads workshop
1500 cross-flow engine, with large Weber, ford Consul (IIRC) front suspension for camber, 4-2-1 branch exhaust manifold, Rover 3500 tube custom straight exhaust (only silencer was a small cherry bomb - sounded like a spitfire  ) Daytona Yellow, etc. I thought it was so fast :joy: It has original gearbox so quite nippy but maxed out at 100 mph

Vivienne copied me! (I’m Ginger too!)

Cortina estate we sprayed and then left in West Berlin after droving through the DDR to catch the Trans-Mongolian Train:

My first camper - swapped for a levellers ticket with no engine - I put a Volkswagen Porsche 914 (twin carbs only) in it. brakes a bit dodgy :joy:

Oh, a car guy !

Nice Cortina & other rides !

My father had one if I remember well back in the years as well as a Ford Consul, maybe not that same model year but they were pretty rare here in Canada as most had big engine rides then !

Not so much now, but I will always be a mechanic’s son

I had various Beetles too - even did a complete rebuild of the engine on one - was amazing to do (once) and broke down into so many small pieces
This book is the best for those old air cooled buses etc
Even worth buying just to read!

I have an old LR Freelander I (The original ‘Hippo’ one) now (of course I only put the propshaft back on for MOT’s (Inspections) once a year as the viscous coupling is buggered so its only front wheel drive)
Rear windows, sunroof and central locking dont work either etc etc - de-rigor
But it gets me from A to B
