The 2017.12 is more symmetrical and 2018.02 asymmetrical and darker. Interesting contrast, like frosted glass.

Thanks @sevenday4, what I wanted to do was each release just to put out a slight variation on the previous.

Got it. A play on the speckle densities may also give interesting results.
